Cabaret for Peter takes the form of playing with words in speeches and songs. Preferably with an ironic, well, let's say sarcastic, take on familiar situations.

Education is always on the move. If not for the ever-lasting stream of directives from far-away politicians, then for the exhausting final lessons on Friday afternoon. This, of course, is a constant source of inspiration for the cynics. Together with guitarist Henk Brand and pianist Bram Stellingwerf, Peter has to cram all the educational woes into a show, called 'Samenscholen'. It's all there: competency-based teaching, IT in the classroom, autonomous learning, parents' evening. All too familiar topics for all that work in education, presented in songs and sketches.

Not all songs and speeches originate in education. Many were inspired by personal experiences. Peter, Henk and Bram had wanted to combine the various topics into one theatre show for a long time. This was realized with the opening night of 'Gelukkig niet bij mij' in the 'Speeldoos' theatre in March 2010.
